A Christmas Prayer

ree

As we leave to head home from our vacation in Peurto Vallarta, it is bittersweet. While it was so nice to take time to celebrate and make some awesome memories, we recognize the busyness of the next few weeks. Christmas has fast approached, and it is so important to remember the reason for the season: celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to encourage everyone to take a moment and pray, asking the Father to keep in the forefront of your mind WHY we celebrate Christmas!

Dear Heavenly Father,

ree

As Brian and I embark on our journey back home from our amazing vacation, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Christmas season. We are grateful for the wonderful experiences we have had and the memories we have created. Thank you for blessing us with this time of rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

As we enter into the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, we pray that you fill our hearts with the true spirit of Christmas. Help us to remember the Reason for The Season, which is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. May the joy and love that surrounded His birth permeate every aspect of our lives during this busy time.

Lord, we ask for your peace to be upon us and upon all those around us. In the midst of the chaos and busyness, may we find moments of stillness and tranquility where we can reflect on Your goodness. Help us to be a source of peace to others, spreading Your love and compassion wherever we go.

We celebrate You, Jesus, as the ultimate gift to humanity. Your birth brought hope, salvation, and eternal life to all who believe in You. As we exchange presents and gather with loved ones, may we never lose sight of the greatest gift of all - Your presence in our lives.

In this season of giving, help us to be generous with our time, resources, and love. May we reach out to those in need and make a difference in their lives. Let us be a shining light in this world, reflecting Your love and kindness to all.

We thank You, Lord, for this special time of year. May our hearts be filled with gratitude and our spirits be filled with joy as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. We pray these things in Your precious Name, The Name above all Names, Jesus. Amen! ©Rita Larson 12/16/2023
