"A New Development!"

What does it mean to "develop" your spirit man? When we become born again, our spirit man comes to life and we have a new development! The Holy Spirit takes up residence on the inside of us. Jesus said in John 14:17, “The Spirit of truth...will be in you.” This indicates that the Holy Spirit will indwell within us when we are born again. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit gives us power from on High and helps us to live a life that is pleasing to God, The Holy Spirit gives us all of the tools that we need to develop our spirit man.
This new man is described in Ephesians 4:22-23, which states, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” In this scripture, the Apostle Paul is challenging us to put off the old man, which is corrupt, and be renewed in the spirit of our minds. This is a call to action for us to build up our spirit man and grow into the image and likeness of God.
In order to do this, we must take the necessary time to train our new man. This is something that we must do intentionally and consistently. We must seek to develop and nurture our spirit man so that it can become strong in the Lord and the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).
We can use the analogy of a newborn baby to help us understand the development of our spirit man. When a baby is born, it is helpless and completely dependent on its parents. The baby needs to be fed, clothed, and nurtured in order for it to grow into a strong and healthy adult. In the same way, we need to feed, clothe, and nurture our spirit man in order for it to grow into the image and likeness of God.
The Bible tells us that we can do this by studying the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15), praying and seeking God (Isaiah 55:6), and by walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). As we do these things, we will be able to develop our spirit man and become more and more like Jesus.
The process of developing our spirit man is a lifelong journey. It is one that requires patience, discipline, and dedication. It is also a journey that is filled with joy and peace as we grow closer to God and experience His presence in a deeper way.
When we take the time to build up our spirit man, we will experience greater manifestations of God’s presence in our everyday lives. We will be blessed with spiritual gifts, strength, and power that will help us to be effective in our daily lives. We will also be able to better understand the ways of God and be able to discern His will for our lives.
The development of our spirit man is an exciting journey that is filled with great rewards. As we take the necessary time to feed, clothe, and nurture our spirit man, we will experience the blessed presence of God in our lives and be more effective in our service to Him.
