"Caution: Don't Get Robbed!"

What a chaotic few days! After returning from vacation, there seems to be chaos on every corner. The devil is a thief and he wants nothing more than to rob us of our joy and peace! When we encounter chaos and confusion in our lives, finding joy and peace can be very difficult. We need to remember that the devil is the father of lies and confusion! Fortunately, we can turn to the Holy Spirit, who brings comfort, help, and truth.

Chaos is defined as “a state of complete disorder and confusion.” It can be a frightening experience, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and helpless. The enemy works hard to rob us of our peace and to convince us that God is incapable of helping us out of our situation. But the truth is, God sent the Holy Spirit to live within us and to help us through our confusion.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:33, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” This verse reminds us that God is the source of peace, not confusion. The enemy may sow chaos, but God brings peace.
The Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, the Helper, and the Spirit of Truth. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The enemy blinds us with lies, but the Holy Spirit brings the light of truth and clarity.

In Isaiah 41:10, God promises, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” When chaos and confusion swirl around us, God is with us. He will strengthen us and help us through.
Finally, 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” God gives us power, love, and a sound mind, so that we can stand firm in the face of confusion and chaos. We must remember that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can stand against the chaos and confusion of this world. ©Rita Larson 6/20/2023
