We all know that integrity and honesty are essential in all aspects of life, especially in the workplace. As Christians, it is necessary to live out these values, as they are vital to living a life that reflects and honors our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In the Bible, God emphasizes the importance of living a life of integrity and honesty in all our interactions.

One of the clearest examples of God's emphasis on integrity is found in Proverbs 11:3, which states that “the integrity of the upright guides them, but their duplicity destroys the unfaithful.” This scripture encourages us to live a life of honesty and transparency, as those who are honest and true are more likely to succeed in the long run. This is a reminder to us that God is always watching and that He values integrity and honesty above all else.
Another example of God's emphasis on integrity is found in Matthew 5:37 when Jesus encourages us to “let your yes be yes, and your no be no.” This scripture teaches us that we must always keep our word and be truthful in our interactions with others. This is an important reminder that we should never lie or deceive others, as God sees all and will not be pleased by such dishonesty.

Finally, in Colossians 3:23, we are reminded that “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” This scripture teaches us that our actions and service should be a reflection of Christ and how He loves. As Christians, we must always strive to do our best and perform our work with integrity, as if we are doing it unto the Lord.
These scriptures provide a clear reminder of just how much value God places on honesty and integrity. We must strive to live according to these values and always remember that God is watching. We must also not forget that our actions and service should be a reflection of Christ so that He may be glorified in all that we do. Everything we do, we should do it unto the Lord!
Heavenly Father, we come to you humbly and with gratitude for the many blessings You have given us. We thank You for Your Word, which serves as a reminder of Your expectations for us. Help us live our lives with honesty and integrity, and always strive to do our best and perform our work excellently, as if we are doing it unto You. May our actions and service reflect Your love, and may You be glorified in all that we do. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen. ©Rita Larson 7/25/2023
