Have you ever found yourself doubting God's promises or His ability to act on your behalf? I know I have in the past when faced with some challenges. Sometimes it is hard to see our way out of a situation. Over the years I have learned that, in those moments, it is crucial to remember God's promises and the power of His might. We can take inspiration from the story of Ezra and the leaders of Israel who recalled and recited the Lord's faithfulness throughout scripture (Nehemiah 9:5-15). Just like them, we too can build up our faith, hope, and confidence by reminding ourselves of our identity in Christ and the promises of our Heavenly Father.

Psalms 138:7 reminds us, "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me." When doubt and fear start creeping in, we must focus on God's Word. His Word is a powerful tool that can help us overcome any doubt and fear we may be facing. By meditating on His promises and reminding ourselves of His faithfulness in the past, we can find strength to face our present challenges. God's Word is our source of encouragement and guidance.
It is important to recognize that fear and doubt are not from God. They are the voice of the enemy trying to distract us from carrying out God's plan in our lives. The enemy wants nothing more than to see us paralyzed by fear and doubt, unable to step into the fullness of what God has for us.
But here's the good news - we have a Savior who has already overcome fear and doubt. Jesus shed His blood on the cross to set us free from the bondage of fear and doubt. We have been given the power through His sacrifice to walk in faith and confidence, trusting that God is faithful to His promises.

So, the next time you find yourself doubting God or feeling overwhelmed by fear, take a moment to reflect on His Word. Remind yourself of His promises and His faithfulness throughout history. 2 Corinthians 1:20 states "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" Allow faith, hope, and confidence to rise up within you. Reject the voice of the enemy and embrace the truth that you are an overcomer through Jesus Christ.
Remember, God's promises are true and His ability to act on your behalf is limitless. You are not alone in your doubts and fears. Lean on God's Word, trust in His faithfulness, and watch as He transforms your doubts into unwavering faith and your fears into boldness. Embrace the adventure of walking in God's plan for your life with confidence and excitement! ©Rita Larson 8/19/2023
