"Do You Have A Pulse?"

“What God starts, He finishes.” How often have we heard this phrase? We hear it in church, in conversations among believers, and even in our minds when we’re struggling with something and feel like giving up. It’s true - God's not done! If you still have a pulse, God has a plan and a purpose for your life! He has a unique purpose and plan for each one of us!

God is at work in us, and He is always calling us to grow closer to Him and to become more like Him. He calls us to grow in love, holiness, and fruitfulness for His glory. Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ." God has started a good work in us and will complete it. He will finish what He has started. We can trust Him to bring us to completion and make us what He has intended for us to be.

In John 15:16, Jesus says, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last." This Scripture reminds us that God has chosen us for a special purpose and has given us the ability to bear fruit, calling us to grow His kingdom. He is calling us to faithfully do the work He has given us to do, and He will be with us every step of the way.

Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." This Scripture tells us that God has created us to do good works and He has prepared those works in advance. He has already planned out our lives and laid out our paths. He has given us a plan and purpose to carry out, and He will be with us every step of the way.

Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” God’s ultimate goal is to conform us to the likeness of His image, and He will use every trial and tribulation we face to help us become more like Him.

Jeremiah 29:11 states "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." We can trust that when we are walking in the will of God, He knows His plans for us and that this plan will prosper us and bless us more than we can ever imagine.

Finally, 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord ." This verse encourages us to be stand firm in our faith and trust in the Lord. Have faith in what we have been called to do, knowing no matter what trials and tribulations come our way, God is still working in us, through us, and among us to accomplish His good and perfect will.

So, take a deep breath and relax. If you have a pulse, God’s not done! He has an incredible plan and purpose for your life, and He is still working in you, God is not done with you yet! He is faithful to complete what He has started. So, check your pulse and take heart, with every beat of your heart God will be by your side working to finish the work He started!
