"Fight on My Knees!"

Have you ever wondered if you are fulfilling God's purpose in your life? The closer we get to God and answering the call He has on our life, the more the devil works to disrupt us from being about the Father's business! For example, my husband and I committed to doing a community group over a year. Shortly after, I started having back pain and numbness in my legs. I got Covid. My husband had a breakout of shingles. I ended up falling down the stairs, totally severing my rotator cuff. My back issues got works and required emergency surgery. We both had obstacles at work. It seemed the fiery darts just kept coming. It would have been easy during this time to throw in the flag. Instead, we activated our faith through prayer and learned to depend on our God who never fails! Today, I declare total healing and restoration in our lives, in the name of Jesus!

Do you feel like you are in a battle? Are you feeling overwhelmed, defeated, and like you can’t take anymore? If so, be reminded that the enemy is out to kill, steal, and destroy. The beauty is that the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s! 2 Chronicles 20:15 “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” We need to realize that our battle is not our own and God is bigger than any battle that we face. There is nothing that our God cannot do!
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Our fight is not just against the physical world, but against spiritual forces of evil as well. When we are fulfilling the call of God on our life, that is when the devil attacks the most. When we hit our knees and pray, we can trust that God hears us and answers our prayers! He has already sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, who took the keys to death and hell. The battle is already won!

In Philippians 4:6-7, it says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Even in the middle of a battle, we can come to the Father and find peace, resting in the assurance that we are victorious through Christ Jesus!
2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” We need to recognize that our weapons are not of this world and are mighty through God. Begin to look beyond the battle, look beyond the mountain, and see what God is doing! He is a Mountain Moving God! There is nothing our God cannot do!

Isaiah 43:2: “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” No matter the obstacles we face, God is with us, and He will provide a way for us to get through, unscathed!
Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” When we are born again, we are part of God's kingdom and covered by His blood. Nothing can stand against the power of God. In Romans 8:37, it says, “We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” When the fiery darts from the devil start flying hit your knees, activate your faith and know that the battle is already won! There is victory in Jesus! ©Rita Larson 6/4/2023
