Have you ever faced a challenge so big that you felt like throwing your hands up and saying it couldn't be done? If so, it is time to open yourself up to the power of God! The Bible is full of examples of the hand or arm of the Lord being used to signify the power and presence of God.
In 2 Chronicles 30:12, we see a description of God's power in the following verse: “And the hand of God was on Judah to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.” In this verse, we see that God was able to unify the people of Judah and give them a single heart to do the king and princes' commands, which is a powerful example of how God can work in our lives.

Isaiah 59:1 reads, “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.” This verse is a reminder that no matter how difficult our situation may seem, God is still the God of the impossible. What we think cannot be done, with Him, all things are possible! We can always rely on His power and His promises!
Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” This verse is a powerful reminder that God is all-powerful and able to do anything. No matter how daunting the task or hopeless the situation we face may seem, it is never too hard for our Heavenly Father!

The power of God is also seen in the spread of the gospel after Pentecost in Acts 11:21 which says “And the hand of the Lord was with them; and a great number believed and turned unto the Lord.” Again, we see that God is the one providing the power, it was the people who believed! God provides us with more than enough, our part is believing that He can! Acts 1:8 it says “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” Here, we can see that when we open ourselves up to God and allow the Holy Spirit to come in, we will receive the power we need to do His will.
Phillips Brooks said it best when he said, "Do not pray for tasks equal to your power. Pray for power equal to your tasks." When we pray to God for the power to do the tasks He has set out before us, we open ourselves up to the power of the Lord and His amazing ability to work in our lives. God is bigger than any challenge we may face, and when we surrender to Him, He will provide us with the power we need. So don't be afraid to tap into the power of God to get you through the tough times. His power will never fail and His will will always be done.
