Do you ever feel like you have no value? Do you ever feel like you’re unimportant or don’t matter? If so, remember that God has placed a great value on you and desires to have a relationship with you.
The Bible speaks to the value God places upon us in several places. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” This verse shows us the incredible value that God places upon us! God loves us so much that He was willing to give up His Son for us.
Psalm 49:7-8 says, “None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:).” We are priceless and need to remember the preciousness of the redemption that God offers us. He has paid our ransom in full. No further payment is needed! He has provided us a chance to be redeemed and to live forever with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” God has paid the highest price for us—His own son. We are not our own; we have been bought with a price. We are not just a number or a statistic; we are valuable and precious to God.
Ephesians 1:7 says, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” God’s amazing grace is so great that He has redeemed us through His blood and forgiven our sins. We are so valuable to God that He was willing to send and sacrifice His Son to save us.

But perhaps the most powerful verse of all is John 17:22-24, where Jesus is praying to God and makes a radical statement: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” Jesus is praying to God and declaring that He loves us just as much as He loves Jesus. We are valuable to God, and He desires to have a relationship with us.

We all have a testimony of how God rescued or touched us in some way to bring us closer to Him. He would not pursue us if we were not of value. To understand our worth, consider a precious gem lying in the dirt for years. God sees the gem's worth, even when buried and covered in dirt. He knows what it can become if given the proper care and attention. He wants to provide us with that care and attention so that we can become all that He has called us to be.
Again, God would not pursue us if we were not of value to Him. He has paid the ULTIMATE price for each and every one of us! He has gone to great lengths to be in a relationship with us! So today, know that you are valued, loved, and sought after by the Creator of the Universe. He paid a high price for each and every one of us! He is chasing us and is in hot pursuit! He is calling us to a deeper relationship with Him. It is up to us to respond to His call and accept His love and grace, knowing that we are considered priceless to Him! ©Rita Larson 5/11/2023
