"How To Be Profitable!"

Have you ever wondered why some people focus so much on physical exercise and neglect other aspects of their lives? It's true that bodily exercise does profit, but the reason it "profi-9teth little" is that it only benefits one area of your life and only for a limited time. Yes, exercise does build you up physically, but it won't build you up spiritually or mentally. It is important to recognize that there is more to life than just our physical bodies.

Timothy 4:8 reads "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." While bodily exercise has some benefits, Godliness is profitable unto all things. What does this mean? "Godliness" simply means living for God. It means dedicating our lives to following His teachings and principles. And how do we live for God? By doing exactly what Paul said in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." As believers, we need to be an example in our speech, in conduct (actions), in love, in faith, and in purity.

Contrary to what some may believe, Godliness is not a hindrance to success. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. Living a Godly life brings about numerous benefits.. When we prioritize our spiritual growth and seek to live according to God's will, we open ourselves up to the benefits of protection, promotion, and prosperity in all areas of our lives.

Living a Godly life provides us with protection. When we live for God and align our lives with His Word, He becomes our shield and refuge. He watches over us and guides us on the right path. We can trust in His promises of protection. Psalm 94:22 reminds us, "But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge."

How does Godliness lead to promotion? Matthew 25:23 tells us, "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." When we prioritize our spiritual growth and seek to live a life that honors God, He blesses us with opportunities for advancement and success. Our integrity and character become evident to others, and doors of opportunity open before us. As we faithfully serve God and others, He lifts us up and positions us for greater influence and impact.

Godliness also leads to prosperity. While prosperity is often associated with material wealth, it goes beyond that. When we live a Godly life, we experience true abundance in all areas - emotionally, mentally, relationally, and yes, even financially. God promises to provide for our needs and bless us abundantly as we prioritize Him in our lives.

So why settle for temporary gains in one area of your life when you can experience true and lasting transformation in all areas? Embrace godliness and let it guide your every decision and action. Watch as your life begins to flourish in ways you never thought possible. Remember the words of Timothy 4:8: "bodily exercise may profit little, but Godliness is profitable unto all things."
