"Investment of Time"

Imagine your life is like a bank account. Each day you are presented with a certain amount of time. You can choose to invest your time in many different things, but the most important investment you can make is in the Lord. When you prioritize God first, it is like putting money into your spiritual bank account. The more time you spend with God, the more spiritual riches you will accumulate.
We are all given the same amount of time each day, so it is up to us to prioritize what we do with that time. When it comes to prioritizing God in our lives, we must make sure that He is the first priority in all that we do. As 1 John 5:21 says, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” When we prioritize God first, we are able to make spiritual investments in our lives that will bring us closer to Him.
The Bible is full of verses that discuss the importance of putting God first in our lives. Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” This verse instructs us to love God with all of our heart, soul, and might. God should come first and be our top priority.
Psalms 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” We serve a loving God and He wants nothing more than to give us the desires of our hearts. When we put God first and find joy in Him, He will bless us in abundance!
Finally, Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Whatever we do, we are to do it for the glory of God. We should be thankful for the time we get to spend with Him and make sure that He is always at the center of our lives.
As we prioritize God in our lives, let us remember to do all things unto the Lord and for His glory. Let us ask God for help in making Him our first priority and for the strength to put Him ahead of all else. Let us thank Him for the time we get to spend in His presence and for the spiritual investments we make when we prioritize Him.
Heavenly Father, help us to prioritize You first in all that we do. Give us the mindset to put You ahead of all else. Help us to strive to do all things unto You and for Your glory. Remind us to be thankful for the time we get to spend with You and for the spiritual investments we make when we prioritize putting you first. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
