"Never Early, Never Late, Always On Time!"

I have been traveling quite heavily the past few weeks, and there are so many things I wanted to get done yesterday but couldn't. There were just not enough hours in the day. My husband, who always bails me out, asked what he could do to help. It was really bothering me that I had not been able to work in my rose garden. The roses needed to be trimmed so badly, and I needed to do some weeding in my flower beds. Like always, once I let him know, he jumped in and helped me, and together we got it knocked out quickly. If I had let him know how badly it was bothering me that I had not been able to get to it, he would have helped me sooner, and it would have already been done. The missing piece was that I did not let him know I needed help. All I had to do was simply let him know.

It is the same with our Heavenly Father. So many times, we are facing battles, and we need help, but we don't ask! God is our Deliverer and wants to help us when we are struggling! As believers, we have the assurance that God will deliver us no matter what we are facing. In Psalm 18:17, David writes about the strong enemy he was facing. He says that the enemy was too strong for him, but God was the one who was able to deliver him. This is a powerful reminder that no matter how daunting our struggles may seem; we can always rely on God to help us.

The Bible is full of examples of God delivering His people from their enemies. In Genesis 14:14-16, Abraham’s nephew Lot was taken captive by four kings. Abraham was able to rescue him, but he was outnumbered and outmatched. He called upon God for help, and God sent His angel to deliver Lot and his family. No matter how insurmountable our problems may seem; God is always able to deliver us.

In Exodus 14:14-15, when the Israelites were about to be overtaken by the Egyptian army, God told Moses to tell the people to stand firm and watch Him save them. God then parted the Red Sea so that the Israelites could escape. This is another reminder that we can always rely on God to deliver us from whatever we are facing.

In 1 Kings 18:36-37, Elijah prayed to God for help in defeating the prophets of Baal. After saturating the altar with 12 pots of water, Elijah prayed a simple prayer, in faith, knowing that God would answer. Fire fell from heaven consuming not only the altar but everything around it. After seeing the miracle-working power of God firsthand, the prophets of Baal fell on their face and cried out to God. God answers prayers in a mighty way! There is nothing too big for our God to handle.

No matter what we may be facing, we can trust in God to deliver us. We can rely on Him to answer our prayers and to help us through any battles we are fighting. Take a step of faith and come to Him in prayer and He will deliver us from every situation. He is our Deliverer, never early, never late! He is always right on time!
