"Opportunity Awaits!"

When problems come our way, it is easy to let them burden us down and cause us to become distracted from God's plan and purpose in our life. We going to face trials as we walk through life. All a problem is, is an opportunity to build a testimony of God's goodness in our life! With faith, we are bound to persevere!
We are called to have faith in God and trust His plan for our lives.
In the book of James, he teaches us that it is in these moments of testing that our faith is strengthened and that perseverance is developed. James 1:2-4 gives us some key scriptures to help us turn obstacles into opportunities. It says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” In fact, when obstacles come, we are called to count it as pure joy. Why? Because obstacles produce opportunities and faith produce perseverance!
As Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” We must remember that faith is produced through hearing the message and not through the trials we face. No matter what to world throws our way, we must stay focused on our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is able to do far more than we can imagine and is always working on our behalf.
To really understand this concept, it’s helpful to think of it like this: Imagine you’re a tree in a garden. If you’re planted firmly in the ground with strong roots, you can withstand any storm that comes your way. Likewise, if we have deep faith and strong roots in Christ, we can withstand any trial that comes our way.
But how do we go about this? How do we build a deep faith and strong roots in Christ? Well, it starts with spending time with God and His word. When we read the Bible, pray, and spend time with God, we are building up our faith and strengthening our roots in Christ so that we can withstand the storms of life.
So, don’t be afraid of trials. Use them as an opportunity to strengthen your faith and build up your roots in Christ. Remember, faith comes from hearing the message, not the trials we face. So, focus on hearing the message of Christ and building up your faith, and you will be able to persevere through any trial that comes your way. Opportunities await! ©Rita Larson 7/2/2023
