Overwhelming Gratitude!

As I sit here pondering what to blog on today, I simply cannot stop thinking about the overwhelming feeling of love and support that Brian and I felt today. This was a special day for us as we had the grand opening of his new business, Mr Yummy Buns! It is a specialty food truck that sells the most delicious cinnamon rolls. Firsthand, we saw God’s favor and blessings pour out on us greater than we could have ever imagined. We are overwhelmed with the amount of love and support we have received from family, friends, and fellow believers. We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support we experienced today.
The importance of having a community of fellow believers is not to be taken lightly. We need each other, and today, the body of Christ showed up in full force, fellowshipping and supporting one another! Hebrews 10:24-25 states, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Here we are reminded of the importance of gathering together and supporting one another. We have been blessed with a wonderful family and a strong community of fellow believers who have come out to support us, and we are thankful for such an amazing group of people.
There are several scriptures that remind us of the importance of being thankful for the love and support of others. One of the most prominent is found in the book of Colossians 3:12-17. Here, we are reminded to be thankful for all of the blessings we have been given. Specifically, it states, “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” We are so very thankful for the people that God has placed in our lives. We give God the Glory for not only the success we experienced today but also praise and exalt Him for all He continues to do. We are so thankful for our family, both naturally and supernaturally, that God has placed in our lives.
James 1:17 reminds us to be thankful for the blessings we have been given. It states, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the favor that you continue to pour down on us. We know that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever! We are grateful for every good and perfect gift and pray each give will be used to glorify You!
Today was such a special day for us, and we are so grateful for the love and support we received from our family and friends. We are humbled and thankful for all the blessings we have been given, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to share our blessings with others. We pray that God will continue to bless us and that Mr Yummy Buns will be a successful business. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ©Rita Larson 11/11/2023
