We all have special God-given gifts and talents. My husband has a unique and special gift, baking. Since I first met him, I have known that it is more than just baking, and anyone that has ever had the pleasure of indulging in some of his delectables would agree! It brings him so much joy and, with his servant’s heart, allows him to bless so many people. I am so excited that he has recently decided to professionally pursue this God-given talent. In doing so, he has had to make some tough decisions and really take a leap of faith. From the time he took that first step, God has just opened door after door! We have seen God’s favor every single step of the way! Soon, many people will be able to savor the flavor of his God-given talents, and in doing so, God will be glorified!

I have a revelation for you and need you to grasp it because it will change your life! Just like my husband and myself, you, too, have the favor of God living on the inside of you! We serve a God who is no respecter of persons, and what He does for others, He will do for you! Let’s explore how you, too, can savor the favor of God in your life!
God’s favor is a powerful force that works on our behalf, bringing blessings and abundance into our lives. Ephesians 2:8 KJV reminds us that “by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” With God’s grace comes His favor. We see His favor in the gifts that are given freely and without condition. In Ephesians 2:8 it says “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God’s favor will begin to work nonstop on our behalf and it covers EVERY area of our lives.

We know that we already have favor, but now how do we tap into it? To tap into favor, we must have the faith to receive it. Imagine someone walking up to you and handing you a $100 bill with no strings attached, asking if you want it. You have a choice! You can take the $100 or pass. Favor is the same. We must accept God’s Favor and acknowledge it for what it is. When you receive the favor of God, give Him the glory! 2 Peter 1:2 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and Jesus Christ.” We must believe and accept that God’s favor is ours and that it is freely given.

God looks for someone who is willing to trust Him and receive His favor. Just as a farmer looks for fertile soil to plant his seed, God looks for hearts that are ready to receive His favor. God looks for someone who is willing to trust Him, has faith, and is prepared to receive His favor. He wants us to be ready to knowingly reach out in faith and receive His favor. We build our faith through studying and growing in the knowledge and power of His word. Romans 10:17 tells us that “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” We must fill our hearts and minds with His Word and speak it out with faith.

Remember, God’s favor is a beautiful gift He offers us through faith. We must know that it is ours and be willing to trust Him! We just have to step out in faith to receive it! So, get into God’s Word and believe it, speak it out loud, and act on it. Don’t be afraid to take that first step of faith! When we do, we can savor God’s favor and will see the blessings and assurance that only He provides. Favor is coming your way! ©Rita Larson 4/28/2023
