"Stop Begging!"

Do you ever feel like you're begging God to do something for you? Do you feel like you're constantly asking Him for blessings and provision? You don't have to do that! God has already given us His provision and He's done His part. In 2 Peter 1:3, we read: “His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.” Ephesians 1:3 tells us “God hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings.” Romans 5:5 says “God hath given us the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

These verses remind us that God has already done His part. We have already been given everything we need! All we have to do is begin to acknowledge and accept that it's already done. When we can start to recognize the good things God has given us, our faith will become activated and our prayers effective. All we need to do is turn to Him with a thankful and humble heart and He will bless us with more than we could ever imagine.

When we go to God, we don't need to pray for Him to love us or to be with us. He has already promised us that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). Instead of begging God for something, let's take a moment to thank Him. So, instead of praying “Lord, just be with me this week, if it be Your will, for Jesus’ sake” or “O God, where are You? God, could You just love me? I don’t feel the love of God,” pray, “Thank You, Father, that You’ll never leave me, that You’re always here. Thank You for Your goodness.”

God has already done His part. We have all the spiritual blessings we need! We don't have to beg God for anything. We already have the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside, waiting for us to tap into what has already been given to us. When we can begin to realize that, our faith will be activated and blessings will be manifested. While we wait on God, God is sitting back waiting on us just to reach out in faith and believe in His promises! ©Rita Larson 6/19/2023
