"The Goodness of God!"

The success of my husband's food truck, Mr Yummy Buns, has been nothing short of miraculous. After a successful Grand Opening last week, the last few days have seen us selling out completely, even after increasing production. It's a testament to the incredible goodness of God, and we can't help but express our overwhelming gratitude. Glory to God, and all thanks go to Him, and Him alone!

Psalm 103:2 reminds us of the endless favor and mercy that God bestows upon us every day. It reads, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” God has done so much for us, and yet we often forget to show our appreciation. It's easy to forget how much God has already done for us, and it's only when we take a moment to reflect and truly take in the goodness of the Lord that we can be filled with appreciation and thankfulness for His blessings.
God's blessings extend far beyond what we deserve. He has given us mercy and grace, and He cares for us deeply. He provides for us and loves us more than we can ever comprehend. In just the act of giving His son for our sins, God has done more than we could ever deserve. We can also read in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

God has also given us a hope and a future, as we read in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” His plans are so much better than the plans that we make for ourselves. His plans for us are full of provisions to bring them to pass. No matter what trials and tribulations we face, we can cling to His promises and trust that He is working for our good.
As we reflect on the goodness of God, let us not forget to express our gratitude for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. When we take the time to reflect on all of the goodness of God in our lives, it is impossible not to be overcome with gratitude. His grace and mercy, His love and provision, His comfort and strength, all of these things are far beyond anything we ever deserve. With a humble heart filled with gratitude, we say, “Thank you, Lord!” ©Rita Larson 11/17/2023
