"The Journey of a Lifetime"

Are you ready to take your relationship with God to a deeper level? To draw near to the One who loves you more than you could ever imagine? Drawing near to God and seeking a closer relationship with Him is a journey of faith, with the Holy Spirit as your personal guide and God's Word, the Bible, as your treasure map.
James 4:8 KJV is a perfect place to start on this journey. It tells us, “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.” The truth is, God has already drawn near to us. He made the first move, coming to us in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.” God desires to be with us and to bring His will and His kingdom to earth.
Drawing near to God is not just a one-time event. It is a continual journey. It is a process of pursuing a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. As we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. Exodus 34:14 says, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” God has no rivals and desires our full attention, desiring to be placed first in our lives! God desires our undivided attention and is passionate about our relationship with Him. When we place Him first, we are taking the first step on this amazing journey, a lifelong adventure! It is a journey to the heart of God and an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. Communion with the Holy Spirit leads us to an ever-deepening understanding of who God is and how we can draw near to Him.
The more time we spend in God's Presence, the more we are changed. We learn to trust Him more and to rely on Him for wisdom and strength. Psalm 40:5 says, “Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” In other words, the more you draw near to God, the more you will be amazed by all of the wonderful things He has done and the extraordinary plans He has for your life. When we seek God with a pure heart, He will reveal His love and plans for us.
God's love for us is so deep and so wide! Psalm 139:17-18 says, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” God's love for us is so great that it is beyond our comprehension. He is with us every moment of every day, and He will never leave us or forsake us.
Drawing near to God is like a treasure hunt. It is a lifelong adventure of discovering the depths of His love, so much so that we can experience the gifts of His grace and mercy. With every step we take, we find more and more of His goodness. As we seek Him with our whole heart, we are changed and transformed into His likeness.
So don't be afraid to take the first step in drawing near to God. Open your Bible and discover the treasures that await you. Spend time in His Presence and allow His love to transform you. Take the time to cultivate a passionate relationship with the Greatest Lover in the universe and experience the life-changing power of His presence.
