"A Christmas Gift For Jesus!"

ree

Christmas is a time of joy, celebration, and giving. As we gather with loved ones and exchange gifts, it is important to remember the true meaning of this season. This Christmas, Jesus wants us to give Him the greatest gift of all - our total surrender. He wants us to lay down all of our hurts, pain from the past, unforgiveness, and pride at His feet. These things that we hold onto and refuse to let go of can become weapons in the hands of the enemy. They can keep us trapped in a cycle of bitterness and prevent us from experiencing the fullness of God's love and grace. But if we choose to let go and surrender all to Jesus, we open ourselves up to His healing and transformation.

When we hold onto past hurts and pain, we are essentially building a wall between ourselves and God. This wall becomes a barrier that hinders our relationship with Him. It prevents us from fully experiencing His love, mercy, and forgiveness. But this Christmas, Jesus is inviting us to tear down that wall, to break free from the chains of our past, and to surrender everything to Him. He longs for our hearts to be completely open and receptive to His love.

Surrendering all to Jesus is not always easy. It requires humility and a willingness to let go of control. But when we fully surrender ourselves to Him, we are allowing Him to work in and through us. We are giving Him permission to transform our lives and shape us into who He created us to be. It is in this place of surrender that we find true freedom and peace.

This Christmas, let's fulfill Jesus' wish by offering Him the gift of our total surrender. Let's lay down our hurts, pain, unforgiveness, and pride at His feet. Let's release any bitterness or resentment that may be holding us back from experiencing His abundant blessings. As we surrender all to Him, we can trust that He will take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful.

So, as you celebrate this Christmas season, remember that the greatest gift you can give to Jesus is yourself. Let go of anything that is standing in the way of your relationship with Him. Allow Him to heal your wounds and set you free from the chains that bind you. Surrender your heart, your mind, and your life completely to Him. In doing so, you will discover a joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. This Christmas, let's truly give Jesus what He desires most - our total surrender.

Let's take a moment and pray. This prayer is an expression of our deep desire to surrender everything to Jesus this Christmas. It is a declaration of our willingness to let go of past hurts and unforgiveness, allowing God's love and grace to flow freely in our lives. As we surrender all to Him, we open ourselves up to receive His blessings and guidance in every area of our lives. Let this Christmas be a time of total surrender and transformation as we give Jesus the gift He desires most – our wholehearted devotion.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we take time to celebrate this Christmas season, we come before you with hearts full of joy and excitement. We are grateful for the gift of your Son, Jesus, who came to save us and bring us closer to you. This Christmas, we want to offer you the greatest gift we can give - the total surrender of our hearts, minds, and souls.

Jesus, we understand that what you desire from us is not material possessions or grand gestures but rather our hurts, pain from the past, unforgiveness, and pride. We acknowledge that holding onto these things only serves as a weapon for the enemy to use against us. It creates a barrier between us and your love and prevents us from experiencing the true joy and freedom that comes from surrendering everything to you.

Lord, help us to let go of the burdens that weigh us down. Give us the strength and courage to release our hurts and pain from the past, knowing that you are the ultimate healer. Teach us to forgive those who have wronged us and to lay down our pride at your feet. We want nothing more than to be free from anything that hinders our relationship with you.

As we celebrate Christmas, let our surrender be a tangible expression of our love for you. May it be a sweet aroma that fills your presence and brings you delight. We want to be vessels of your grace and love, ready to serve others with humility and compassion.

Jesus, we know that surrendering everything to you is not an easy task. It requires vulnerability and trust in your unfailing love. But we also know that when we surrender to you, we gain so much more than we could ever imagine. You fill us with your peace, joy, and purpose. You guide us on the path of righteousness and lead us into abundant life.

This Christmas, Lord, we offer ourselves as a gift to you. Take all that we are - our hopes, dreams, fears, and failures - and use them for your glory. Help us to release any control we try to hold onto and allow your Holy Spirit to have complete reign in our lives.

Thank you, Jesus, for loving us unconditionally and for inviting us into a deeper relationship with you. May our surrender be a lifelong journey of growing closer to you and becoming more like you. We ask these things in Your name, The Name of Jesus, Amen! ©Rita Larson 12/3/2023
