Belieze, here we come! As much as I am excited about seeing Belieze, I am more excited about spending time with my husband. We value each other and after both experiencing significant hurt in the past, we are so grateful to God for the gift we have in each other. When you have something so special, it is important to take care of it and keep it polished!

In a world full of chaos, we all need a place to escape to, a place where we can find solace and refuel. Ephesians 5 tells us that marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church, and it is through this union that we can draw closer to God and each other.

The husband’s role is to lead the household and cherish his wife, reflecting Christ’s leadership and love for the Church. Likewise, the wife’s role is to honor and submit to her husband, as a representation of the Church submitting to Christ. In this way, our marriages can become a living example of God’s love to the watching world.

Taking time to rest and invest in our marriages is essential to living a life zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). It is in these moments that we become more emotionally connected to our spouses and better understand their needs. We learn to love and serve one another, and we become more in tune with God’s will for our lives. Investing in our marriages is not selfish, but rather life-giving, as it allows us to more effectively serve the world around us.

Marriage is a beautiful union created by God and we should cherish it. When we take time to nourish our marriages, we can bring more joy and peace into the lives of those around us. We can become more effective witnesses to the world and help others find their way to Christ. So let us take time to invest in our marriages and glorify God through them. Let us draw closer to our spouses and to God. We need to take time to invest in marriages, serve our spouses, and honor God through this beautiful union. We can make a difference in this world and show others the power of a God-centered marriage.

Take action today and invest in your marriage. Spend time with your spouse, pray together, and grow closer to each other and to God. Strive for a marriage that reflects the love of Christ and the Church. ©Rita Larson 6/10/23
